Frequently Asked Questions
To publish a death notice on Condolences.ie, simply ask your funeral director to do so. All licensed funeral directors in Ireland have secure access to our partner site RIP.ie, and can publish notices on behalf of the bereaved family.
If the funeral is taking place outside of Ireland, the family can contact RIP.ie directly. RIP.ie will then liaise with the overseas funeral director to verify the details. Acceptable proof may include:
- A copy of the death certificate or cremation certificate
- A link to the obituary on the foreign funeral director’s website
- An email confirmation from the overseas funeral director
You can search for a death notice on Condolences.ie using:
- The deceased’s surname
- County or town
- A date range
The search function is available on the Condolences.ie homepage and allows you to quickly locate the notice you're looking for.
